Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 June 2026 · Version 1.0

Odigo helps drivers in the Philippines find fuel and EV charging prices, compare stations, and share what they see on the road. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Odigo (“Odigo,” “we,” “us”) operates the Odigo mobile app and the website at getodigo.com. We are the controller responsible for your personal information under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a display name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a basic profile (name and email, or Apple’s relay email if you choose to hide yours). We do not collect or store passwords; sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.

Approximate location

To show nearby gas stations and EV chargers and to sort results by distance, the app uses your device location only while you are using it, and only if you grant permission. We use an approximate location to rank stations and never sell or share your precise movement history. You can deny or revoke location access in your device settings at any time; the app still works using map search and your last viewed area.

Reports, reviews, and photos

Odigo is partly community-powered. When you submit a price report, a review, an amenity update, or report a problem with a station, we store that contribution together with the station it relates to and the time it was made. If you attach a photo (for example, a pump-price board), we store the image and may run automated text recognition (OCR) on it to read prices and brand names. Contributions tied to your account are associated with your Street Cred contribution score.

Anonymous feedback

You can send text-only feedback or report a problem without an account. In that case we do not attach your identity. To prevent abuse we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address (not the IP itself) and apply rate limits. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you.

Device and usage information

We collect basic technical data needed to run and secure the service: device type and operating-system version, app version, language, coarse diagnostics, and crash logs. Our servers keep standard request logs (such as timestamps and a hashed IP) for security and reliability.

Saved stations and preferences

We store the stations you save, your preferred fuel grades, whether you are in gas or EV mode, and your notification settings, so the app behaves consistently across sessions.

3. How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

We process your information where it is necessary to provide the service you requested, where we have a legitimate interest (such as security and product improvement) that is not overridden by your rights, where we have your consent (such as location access and notifications), and where we must comply with law. You may withdraw consent at any time, though some features may stop working as a result.

5. How we share information

Your public contributions — reviews, price reports, amenity updates, and any photos you attach — are visible to other Odigo users alongside the station they describe, together with your chosen display name and Street Cred tier. Do not include personal or sensitive details in your contributions.

We share personal information only with the service providers listed below, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of users and the public, or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify you.

6. Service providers (data processors)

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to operate Odigo. Each processes data only on our instructions:

Some providers may process or store data outside the Philippines. Where that happens, we take steps to ensure your information remains protected to a standard consistent with the Data Privacy Act.

Gas-station and charger locations are partly derived from OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors.

7. How long we keep data

We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Community contributions may remain visible (in a de-identified or attributed form) to preserve the integrity of station data even after you stop using Odigo. Diagnostic and security logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal information as described below, subject to any retention the law requires.

8. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access a copy of your data, to correct inaccurate data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, to erasure or blocking, and to be indemnified for damages from unlawful processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at reports@getodigo.com. We will respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.

9. Deleting your account

You can request deletion of your account at any time from within the app (Settings → Account) or by emailing reports@getodigo.com. When you delete your account we remove your email, display name, saved stations, preferences, and Street Cred score. Public contributions you made may be retained in de-identified form so that station prices and reviews remain accurate for other drivers; they will no longer be linked to you.

10. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and will notify you and the appropriate authority of a breach as required by law.

11. Children

Odigo is intended for licensed drivers and a general audience, and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Odigo evolves or as the law requires. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of Odigo after an update means you accept the revised policy.
